The challenge

Find a design expert to convert point data in CATIA. 

The customer works on design in the motorsports division for a major global manufacturer of automobiles, motorcycles, and an array of other power products. The client was responsible for the front-end design process—covering features like the front bumper, fenders, and grill—of a prototype new ATV, or all-terrain vehicle.  

However, his design team didn’t have the capability in-house to convert point cloud data from a clay model scan into Class A surfaces in CATIA, where his internal designers could finish the model. He needed to find a talented designer quickly with the right skill sets to complete the project and keep his team on schedule.
