Focusing forward: Skills you must build today to develop the cell and gene therapies of tomorrow

The Cell & Gene Therapy market is poised to undergo significant growth over the next 2-5 years. BIS Research recently reported that “the global gene therapy market was valued at $1.07 billion in 2018 and is estimated to grow over $8.95 billion by 2025. Over the next 10 years, some experts predict more than one-third of therapies will be cell- and gene- based. As a relatively young field, employers already struggle to find sufficient qualified talent with the relevant therapeutic, manufacturing and regulatory expertise. Unless drastic and coordinated steps are taken, this will become a critical roadblock in bringing innovative new therapies to market. This session explores both the origins of this problem as well as potential action steps that can be taken to address this issue.

“After witnessing two school systems that have successfully deployed a KES solution for their substitute staffing needs— along with the subsequent savings in hard and soft cost, time, and critical resources that our schools have realized— the question I typically ask any district on the fence is … ‘Who couldn’t afford to implement a KES program?’”

— Dr. Michael Henry, HR Director of Instructional Personnel, School District of Clay County
