Altasciences, the largest contract animal research organization in the U.S., was experiencing a perfect storm. Tremendous growth was creating a backlog of projects, coupled with high levels of employee attrition and resignations.
This included the loss of their talent acquisition team and internal onboarding specialist. Altasciences knew that a new internal talent acquisition team would take at least 90 days to onboard and become productive. At the same time, they needed to continue their recruiting and hiring, while also maintaining the candidate experience.

Kelly® Science & Clinical assembled a team of recruiters aligned to the client’s internal systems and hiring managers. They utilized science-educated recruiters to screen, organize, and deliver talent—while also overseeing the full hiring process.
- They were able to funnel external talent to certain roles that were not currently covered by internal applicants and referrals.
- Additionally, they deployed an onboarding specialist—full-time, on-site at the client’s facility—to drive local talent, onboard, and coordinate vendors for pre-employment screenings.
